azurecurve ClassicPress Plugins: Gallery From Folder

ClassicPress PluginsThis is part of the azurecurve ClassicPress Plugins which introduces the plugins I have available for ClassicPress.

The plugin I am going to cover in this post, is a brand new one I’ve developed to use on two of my other sies; Gallery From Folder.

Functionality

Gallery From Folder is a simple plugin which will read a folder and display a gallery of all thumbnails with links to the original full-size image.

The [gallery-from-folder] shortcode can be provided with either an alt_id parameter referning a specific name, or a post_id for a ClassicPress post.

An example of the shortcode is [gallery-from-folder alt_id=”sample-gallery”]

Demo

An examples of this plugin in action can be found on coppr|Distilleries To Visit.

Download

The plugin can be downloaded via my Development site.

Hands on with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release: Add Web Client Runtime feature to client

Microsoft Dynamics GPThis post is part of the Hands on with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release series where I am hands on with the newly released Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release.

The Microsoft Dynamics GP web client is installed on one or more session host machines. This component is added by amending the client installation on the session host server either through the Windows Programs and Features module or by running the Dynamics GP setup utility.

I hve started the setup utility; under Install, select Microsoft Dynamics GP:

Hands on with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release: Installing web client prerequisites

Microsoft Dynamics GPThis post is part of the Hands on with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release series where I am hands on with the newly released Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release.

Before we start on the installation of the web client components themselves, we need to sort out the prerequisites. These prerequisites are all around the Windows feature if Internet Information Services (IIS). As the installation sand configuration of these is the same as 2018 RTM, I am linking back to the three relevant posts I have previously published:

  1. Install Internet Information Services and other required Windows roles and features.
  2. Create Self Signed SSL Certificate for demo/test system; on a production system, I’d recommend the use of a full certificate.
  3. Bind SSL Certificate to IIS Web Site.

In addition you need to create and assign two domain groups which are used for giving users access to the web client and its web management console:

  1. Web Client Users group which should be assigned to the users who will log into the web client.
  2. Web Client Administrators group which should be assigned to the users who administer the web client.
