MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Certification, Licensing and Training Management

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The twentieth feature they’ve announced is Certification, Licensing and Training Management with a subtitle of Delete History Records & Advanced Warning Notice.

This particular feature applies only to the US and Canada as it is based in the Human Resources module which is very US/Canada centric.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Certification License and Training can now provide advanced warning when certain certificates, licenses or training credentials are due to be renewed. Additionally, a user can delete certification, license & training history records from the history windows.

MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Relate/Link Items for Suggested Sales

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The nineteenth feature they’ve announced is Relate/Link Items for Suggested Sales.

With this feature it is now possible to link together items for suggesting during the entry of a Sales Order Transaction.

How To Install The Web Services For Microsoft Dynamics GP – Prerequisites

Microsoft Dynamics GPI’ve been fairly busy recently so I’ve largely settled for posting the GP 2013 Feature of the Day posts. Over the last few days though I’ve had a bit more time so I thought I’d start another series of How To posts. This one will span across a couple of weeks and spawn at least one other series of posts for a related product.

With the introduction of the Reconciled Indicator users will be able see at a glance whether a payment has been reconciled within Microsoft Dynamics GP.

MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Item Standard Cost Adjustment

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The seventeenth feature they’ve announced is Item Standard Cost Adjustment.

In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, a new window for changing the Standard Cost of an item has been introduced. When the Standard Cost of an item is changed, an adjusting entry will be made to the General Ledger which will keep the General Ledger and Inventory Control series in balance.

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The sixteenth feature they’ve announced is SSRS Reports On Forms.

This feature allows users to print SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports directly from a window in Microsoft Dynamics GP. This has been made available on a range of windows across General Ledger, Receivables Management, Sales Order Processing, Payables Management, Inventory Management, Human Resources and Payroll.

MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Reconcile IV To GL

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The fifteenth feature they’ve announced is Reconcile IV To GL.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 saw the introduction of the Reconcile to GL report which allowed the automation of the reconciliation of differences in Receivables Management and Payables Management to the General Ledger. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 the Inventory Control module will be added to the Reconcile to GL to help users identify the differences between the Historical Inventory Trial Balance and the GL inventory accounts;

The fourteenth feature they’ve announced is Email Indicators.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 introduced the ability to email various differrent trransactions directly without the need for third party products. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, an icon has been introduced to the navigation lists to show a visible indicator that a particular record has been emailed.

MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Additional Word Templates

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The twelfth feature they’ve announced is Additional Word Templates.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 introduced the Word Templates as alternatives to the standard Modified Reports but the selection available was limited. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, users can now use Word Templates for all Sales Order Processing document types (such as Back Orders) as well as Packing Slips and Picking Tickets;
