Discount on All Books Until the End of September

Microsoft Dynamics GPAs I announced the other day, I have recently changed jobs and will no longer be working with Microsoft Dynamics GP. In celebration of my new role, and as a small give back to the Dynamics GP community I’ve been part of for 19 years (11½ years posting to this site), I am offering 25% off all eBooks available on my azurecurve | Publishing site from now until the end of September.

To get the discount use voucher code SEPT2022 during checkout.

These are the last three books I published, but previous versions of the workflow and web client books are also available:

New Book on Microsoft Dynamics GP Workflow Now Available

Microsoft Dynamics GPMy tenth book is now available to buy in eBook format from azurecurve Publishing, paperback and Kindle versions from Amazon US and UK.

This is a new update to the Workflow book I’ve written three prior editions over the last few years. This edition has had some chapters and sections have been rewritten to either expand or make clearer the topics being covered. It also covers the creation and use of an AD authorisation store for security settings as required for securing the web services with TLS 1.0 and 1.1 disabled.

Remove Microsoft Word Index Entries

Microsoft WordI’ve written a few books over the last few years; I use Microsoft Word as it is easy to work in and easy to convert to PDF. Some of the books I have written have been self published. Doing it this ways means that I need to do all of the layout and formatting, such as creating the index.

On occasion, I have had a need to remove the index and re-add; this is most often when I am writing a new edition of a book. I’ve done a fair bit of searching for ways of doing this and have used a couple of different approaches.

One of the early approaches I came across was to use VBA to strip the index entries out, but more recently I found another, much simpler, way of doing it using find and replace.

Press Ctrl+H to open the Find and Replace dialog; in the Find what box, type ^d XE:

New GP Resource Added: Microsoft Dynamics GP Books

Microsoft Dynamics GPRather than just leaving the Microsoft Dynamics GP Book Roundup as a post, I have made it a page available from the GP Resources menu.

I will be doing my best to keep this page up to date; if I have missed any books on Microsoft Dynamics GP, please get in touch and let me know so I can add the book.

I accidentally missed the Dynamics GP 2016 Security and Field Audit book by Mark Polino and Andy Snook from the round up post, but have added it to the page.

The new GP books resource page is here.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Book Roundup

Microsoft Dynamics GPThere are a number of books available for Microsoft Dynamics GP which have been written by various people across a umber of years (although a few names crop up repeatedly). I thought it might be useful to list the books which are currently available for each version of Microsoft Dynamics GP; some of the books are only available for older versions of Dynamics GP, but the information within is still mostly relevant.

To avoid any appearence of favouritism, I have listed them in Dynamics GP version and author surname order (when multiple authors, the first listed author’s name is used).

Where there is no version in the name I have made by best guess as to which version it was written against.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Workflow 2.0 Second Edition Now Available on Amazon

Microsoft Dynamics GPMy sixth book is now available to buy in both eBook format from azurecurve Publishing and paperback from CreateSpace, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.

This is an update to the original Workflow 2.0 book I wrote a couple of years ago. This edition includes coverage of the new functionality introduced in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016, a new chapter on adding table joins to workflow to allow additional conditions to be created, and some chapters and sections have been rewritten to either expand or make clearer the topics being covered.

Dynamics GP includes a variety of tools and modules to assist in controlling processes and data; one of the major modules for this was the Dynamics Workflow module. However, this module had major flaws which very much limited its usefulness; it was slow, clunky and difficult to install, configure and maintain.
