About azurecurve

azurecurve is the personal blog of Ian Grieve, a senior consultant in Project Services with Perfect Image Ltd., a Microsoft Partner, based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the NE of England.

Ian’s experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP started with version 7.5 when he worked for MIS Active Management Systems, a company specialising in software for the social housing sector. Initially, Ian worked on the Support team before transitioning to the Financial and Interfaces Team where his involvement with Dynamics GP expanded from mainly support to being far more consultancy based.

In September 2011 Ian left MIS and moved back to his native North East to work for Perfect Image as a senior consultant specialising in Dynamics GP. At this time Ian was also trained on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and is fully certified on implementing, customising and using both products.

In his role with Perfect Image, Ian is involved with the full life cycle of Microsoft Dynamics GP (and related products such as Integration Manager, eConnect, FRx and Management Reporter as well as third party add-ons such as Nolan Business Solution’s Advanced Bank Reconciliation, Advanced SOP with Recurring Invoices and SOP Import) from pre-sales and sales demonstrations, through discovery, implementation, key-user, end-user and technical training, go-live and post-go-live support, subsequent upgrades and consultancy, starting with Great Plains 7.5 and extending through to the current version; Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013.

After working with Dynamics GP for several years, Ian started this blog as a way of giving back to the wider Dynamics GP Community. In June 2013 his first book Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 was published and was quickly followed in early September 2013 by his second Microsoft Dynamics GP Financial Management.

In addition to writing for this blog, Ian is also a contributor to the Dynamics GP Community Forum where he offers his expertise with Dynamics GP by answering questions.

These contributions to the Dynamics GP Community saw Ian awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award for Microsoft Dynamics GP in October 2013.
