Implementing Jet Enterprise: Create Execution Package

To automatically update the Jet Enterprise cubes, we need to create an execution package.

To do this, select the Execution tab, right click on the Execution {Package node and click Add Execution Package:

The All Steps pane lists all of the steps which can be added to an execution plan, or excluded. In this example, I want to execute the entire project to ensure it is up date to date every evening (I’ll be creating the schedule in the next post).

Drap and drop Execute Project from All Steps to Include Steps.

Under Post Execution, set Notification on Success and Notification on Failure to Event Log (which is the notification created in the last post:

Click OK to save the changes; you will be promoted to do a deploy for the changes to take effect. Click OK on this message:

Information: Deployment is needed before the changes wil. have an effect.
