MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Item Standard Cost Adjustment

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The seventeenth feature they’ve announced is Item Standard Cost Adjustment.

In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013, a new window for changing the Standard Cost of an item has been introduced. When the Standard Cost of an item is changed, an adjusting entry will be made to the General Ledger which will keep the General Ledger and Inventory Control series in balance.

Change Item Standard Cost

If you’re dealing with multiple items which need the Standard Cost changing, then this window could be used to do them all if you create a GP macro.

This new feature is targeted at the following roles:

  • Operations Manager
