MDGP 2013 Feature of the Day: Fixed Assets Historical Depreciation Report

Microsoft Dynamics GPMicrosoft have started the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Feature of the Day series on the Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP Blog.

The thirteenth feature they’ve announced is Fixed Assets Historical Depreciation Report.

This feature was one of the most requested features for the Fixed Asset Management series for quite a while so it is nice for it to arrive.

Reporting on historical depreciation amounts and adding a “depreciation as of” date were added to the report options. The depreciation on the report is then calculated as of the defined date, giving greater flexibility in depreciation reporting;

Also, to get accurate historical amounts for dates in prior years and clean up the display of reports and enquiries, this feature includes enhancements to the depreciation reset process

This new feature is targeted at the following roles:

  • CFO
  • Accounting Manager
  • Controller
  • Accountant
  • Bookkeeper
