Replicate FRx To Management Reporter Command Customisation To Other Users

● Ian Grieve ●  ● 2 Comments   ●

In the last post I showed how the FRx menu can be renamed to show Management Reporter instead.

However, it is also a per user setting so would need to be done for each user created in Microsoft Dynamics GP who had access to Management Reporter.

To make the job a lot less onerous, I thought it might be useful to follow up with a SQL script to copy the FRx command customisations from one user to all others Continue reading → Replicate FRx To Management Reporter Command Customisation To Other Users

Renaming Microsoft Dynamics GP FRx Menu Option To Management Reporter

● Ian Grieve ●  ● 2 Comments   ●

The FRx Reporter tool is being retired very soon. It’s replacement, Management Reporter, has been available to all customers for a while and is the only option for new ones implementing Microsoft Dynamics GP.

FRx has an entry on the Reports menu (Reports ¯ Financial ¯ FRx) in Microsoft Dynamics GP which can be replaced with Management Reporter. Unfortunately, this is a per user setting but does change the menu in all companies for each user who makes the change.

To change the name of the FRx menu, right click on the toolbar and then click Customise…;

How To Deploy Excel Reports In Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2

● Ian Grieve ●  ● 1 Comment   ●

Way back in February I did a post on how to deploy the SSRS reports to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 and meant to follow up with a post on how to deploy the Excel Reports, but got sidetracked and then forgot. Well, I’m correcting that today.

To deploy the reports you need to open the Reporting Tools Setup window (Tools ¯ Setup ¯ System ¯ Reporting Tools Setup) where you can deploy reports and see what has already been deployed;

Mark Polino’s Weekly MS Connect Suggestion – Auto Deposit of Cash Receipts in Bank

● Ian Grieve ●  ● 0 Comments   ●

Microsoft Dynamics GPContinuing Mark Polino’s weekly DynamicAccounting.net series of posts recommending an MS Connect suggestion.

This weeks is a vote on adding an option to allow bank deposits to be automatically posted in Bank Reconciliation; this would be of great benefit if you’re receiving lots of individual payments hitting your bank account such as standing orders or BACS transfers which at present requires someone to post each one manually.

If you’d be interested in seeing this change made, please go to Connect and vote.
